New Editor-in-Chief at Comic Book Galaxy
Earlier this week, I took on the new title of Executive
Editor/Publisher of Comic Book Galaxy. Chris Hunter has agreed to become the
site's new Editor-in-Chief, taking over most of my responsibilities on
a day to day basis.
I intend to maintain and re-dedicate myself to my own writing
about comics, particularly the ADD Blog, which is not going away but
hopefully will be reenergized by these changes -- you may have noticed
that since the relaunch, my reviews and blogging have nearly ground to
a halt -- I just haven't had the time. Somehow it never occurred to me
that wrangling two dozen contributors might impact on my time. D'oh!
I've never been prouder of the site than these past few weeks, and I
look forward to its continued growth and evolution in the weeks ahead.
I've known Chris Hunter for a long time now, and I honestly feel that
his enthusiasm for comics and his particular gifts make him the ideal
candidate to take on this task.
In my heart I believe that the relaunch of CBG hasn't settled
down, but in a very real way is just getting started now, and that the
best is still yet to come. Chris and I are talking about some exciting
ideas to make the site even more timely and relevant for you, and easier
our contributors to manage their own material. I hope that five years
from now we're looking forward to our tenth anniversary, as right now we are
looking forward in just a few weeks to our fifth. I can't wait to see what happens next, and I hope you all feel the same way. Please, as always, feel free to let
us know how we're doing!
Thanks,
