Monday Update - ADD, Sky Ape, and CRACK SHOTS
Marc Sobel has a new edition of Crack Shots up, with reviews of the Jewish Mafia graphic novel Brownsville by Neil Kleid and Jake Allen, and the first issue of Brian Wood's and Kristian's Supermarket. Memo to Marc--There is no rule against reviewing first issues. However, you did violate the following:
Rule 29: Always cite the publisher whenever possible, such as IDW; and
Rule 67: No reviews of books by Michael Chabon that have nothing to do with comics.;
Rule 82: No reviews of books with Pittsburgh in the title."; and
However, good work on following "Rule #1: Use panty shots only from indie comics, because then it's empowering to women and not gratuitous at all"
Just when I finally read a Sky Ape one-shot I like, Jim Witt comes along to go ape$#!+ on it, in his review of Sky Ape: King of Girls.
And over at Independent Propaganda, Alan David Doane has a guest shot in the "In Their Own Words" slot with 10 Comics You Should Be Reading--Right Now!".
